1.2  Main feature

1.2.1 Multiple software images support flexible deployment options
H540-48X6Q routing switch adopts a unified software platform CentecOS, which is an open architecture switch operating system, which ensures the smooth upgrade of the system in the future.
H540-48X6Q routing switch provides two software with different characteristics: IP Base and IP Service. Customers can choose software according to their specific needs, and at the same time, they can smoothly upgrade the network in the future.

1.2.2 Green and energy-saving system design
The H540-48X6Q switch adopts an adjustable-speed fan. The system automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the external ambient temperature to save energy. The switch can adjust the power consumption according to the business flow of the port, and save energy as much as possible.

1.2.3 Flexible configurable forwarding entries to meet different business deployment scenarios

Flexible management table entry technology FTMTM allows users to adjust the size of each hardware forwarding table entry according to different application scenarios. H540-48X6Q supports up to 128K MAC address table or 8K IP routing table.

1.2.4 Data center DCB features

H540-48X6Q supports many new data center functions, such as priority flow control
(PFC),  enhanced Transmission Selection (ETS), Quantitative Congestion Notification (QCN), and TCP in the data center. MLAG is also a good option for data center network TOR switches.

1.2.5 High reliability

Hardware
- On-site pluggable modular power supply
- Modular power module supports AC 1+1 backup
- Fan supports N+1 backup
- The fan supports intelligent speed regulation
- The system monitors the chipset temperature, power supply and fan status in real time

Software
- Support LACP, ECMP, VRRP, VARP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Smart Link, BFD, ERPS and load-balancing.
- Detect CPU status and take protective measures on the premise of software error

1.2.6 Excellent QOS management

H540-48X6Q routing switch provides 8 hardware queues for each port. Congestion protection mechanisms such as multi-level scheduling (WDRR, SP) and Tail Drop/WRED are supported. And a flexible queue adjustment algorithm is used to achieve traffic shaping for queues or ports. At the same time, the policy management in the ingress and egress directions provides bandwidth monitoring in units of 64Kbps. Support srTCM (single rate three-color mark) and trTCM (dual rate three-color mark).
1.2.7 High-quality application with triple play service support and bandwidth guarantee
H540-48X6Q provides high bandwidth for triple play services, such as IPTV and video surveillance. The built-in QoS function and flexible queuing technology guarantee high-quality service. The rich set of multicast protocols (IGMP snooping, IGMP V1/V2, PIM-SM) supports 16K multicast groups, 1K physical replication, and 4K logical replication per group. Using CentecOS software, the effective control of IPTV services and multicast delay can be fully supported.
1.2.8 Comprehensive cyber security strategy

The H540-48X6Q series supports user-level, switch-level and network-level security control. Basic IPv4/IPv6/MAC ACL is adopted to filter IPv4/IPv6/Non-IP packets respectively, and can be applied to ports and VLANs. In addition, the extended IPv4/IPv6 access control list can also be used. Within an ACL rule, the ACEs of IP and MAC are effective and can filter IP and non-IP packets at the same time.
The system software ARP inspection and IP source protection function prevent the network from malicious ARP attacks. Provide CPU flow protection, storm control functions, and optimize the CPU load function. Centralized 802.1x authentication prevents illegal users from accessing the network.
